The world class scholar Dr. Seyyed Hossein Nasr talked about friendship among civilizations.

Seyyed Hossein Nasr was born in Tehran in a family of traditional scholars and physicians. After receiving his early education in Iran, he came to America where he studied physics, the history of science and philosophy at M.I.T. and Harvard from which he received his doctorate. Nasr was professor at Tehran University and founder and first president of the Iranian Academy of Philosophy. He is presently University Professor of Islamic Studies at George Washington University. Author of over fifty books, some of which have been translated to Polish. Nasr is a prominent Islamic philosopher and renowned scholar of comparative religion, writing in the fields of Sufism and metaphysics. He is a major expositor of perennial philosophy, which seeks universal insights in religion, spirituality, music, art, architecture, science, literature, civilizational dialogue, and nature. He has been called „a cultural bridge between Islam and the West.”
